WONKY
Bennett is disenchanted. Her world is mechanical, predictable, demystified, explainable by reason and science. Despite this, she experiments with the supernatural and comes across the allegedly sentient toy WONKY. As Bennett tests WONKY, the toy’s voicelines are strangely relevant and responsive. When Bennett can find no explanation for the compounding coincidences her rationality begins to give way to something more introspective - a time she wished the supernatural were true but was proven otherwise.
Working with director Ashton Sela, we developed a muted filmic look which we tweaked from neutral, warm, cool and tinted depending on the scenes. In our process we also actively worked on masking and repairing shots, and light vfx work.
