The Four Winds

The Four Winds is a comedic yet intimate, slice-of-life drama centred around four middle-aged Chinese women who gather every week to play mahjong. But during one game, a conversation about an old classmate’s divorce slowly turns personal and forces them to confront the lives they chose -- and the ones they left behind.
Working directly with cinematographer Fu Liu and director Sammi Lau to achieve their vision through a combination of tripod and handheld shots.
